You might already notice the website looks different, so it’s a good time to announce and present our new brand! Officially launching today online and at the Lift & Co Cannabis Expo in Toronto.
The logo was created specifically with our history in mind and was thoughtfully put together to reflect our positioning.
The roots graphic symbolizes experience, strength, know-how, practical knowledge, as well as a strong foundation for investment and growth. It’s complemented by one of our original slogans, ‘our roots run deep’.
“The new clean aesthetic and pallet are both mature and contemporary, but still classic enough to be lasting. This is the natural evolution of INDIVA’s original positioning, which celebrated the grassroots activism of our grower, Pete Young,” said Tomasz Borowicz, Chief Brand Officer, INDIVA, and creator of the new brand and logo.
Why did we change our brand?
We wanted our look to be more mature and get away from the clichés of the green and leaves that dominate the cannabis industry. The original INDIVA brand identity was launched in 2015 and since then, the sector and the movement have undergone significant changes and so has INDIVA.
INDIVA is now a fully financed licensed producer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, with international partnerships and close to 30 employees.
We are now partnered with innovative edible companies, DeepCell and Bhang, and the new brand will create an overall better look and feel for future co-branded products.
“The logo pays homage to our past and the history of the cannabis legalization movement without retaining the clichés of cannabis counter-culture,” explained Koby Smutylo, Chief Operating Officer, INDIVA. “It is also incredibly versatile and looks great next to our partner brands.”
