As Canada prepares to sell recreational cannabis this Oct. 17, there has never been a more important time to learn about this wonderful, yet potent plant.
Cannabis has an ever-growing list of new strains, not to mention a myriad of different compounds each with their own effect on the body. Pair that with a diverse list of ingestion methods, as well as being aware of risks and side effects, there is clearly a lot to know.
Thankfully, INDIVA’s got your back with its signature Cannabis 101 event.
The kickoff to this important series is happening July 25, from 6 to 9 PM at the BMO Centre in London, Ontario. The evening will include informative presentations from legal and health care experts, as well as a heartfelt discussion with a patient who will share their journey using cannabis as medicine.
Further, professionals from the Medical Marijuana Consulting clinic will be on hand to answer any questions about their services. Light catering and refreshments will also be available.
“We know there is still a stigma and a lack of information about the use of medical cannabis,” said Courtney Morgan, Health and Community Engagement Leader at INDIVA. “By hosting this event, we’re providing education from professional, highly-trained individuals, who can deliver the information needed to make an informed decision.”
