On October 17th cannabis prohibition will officially end in Canada and legal recreational marijuana will be made available. This news has Canadians and licensed producers very excited and INDIVA is grateful to be a part of the historic occasion.
There are also a few new reasons for our company to express exponential gratitude and that is because INDIVA has received three nominations for the Canadian Cannabis Awards.
First and foremost, we have been nominated for “Brand of the Year” and considering that INDIVA and its Chief Branding Officer, Tomasz Borowicz, takes our brand very seriously, we are stoked that the company has been recognized for its efforts.
Second, Jonathan Hiltz, our Director of Business Development and the person who handles much of the content-related initiatives for INDIVA, has been nominated for “Writer of the Year”. Jonathan has been a journalist in the cannabis industry for over three years and has a book being published this month titled The Wild West: Canada’s Legalization of Marijuana.
Last but certainly not least, INDIVA’s Master Grower, Pete Young has been nominated for “Cannabis Crusader of the Year”.
To say that this nomination is apt would be an understatement. Pete has been an activist and advocate of cannabis for decades, putting his freedom and livelihood on the line for individuals who needed access to medical cannabis but could not get it.
Pete has been an integral figure on the Canadian cannabis landscape and it is not an exaggeration to say that he is one of the people who carried us on his shoulders to this historic day when marijuana will be available for all adults.
Thanks very much and we thank everyone for their support!
